Protecting Florida wildlife is something ALL of us can do. Below are some of the agencies and groups that are making a difference in the conservation of Florida species, all across the sunshine state. FWFA encourages you to reach out to them and learn more, volunteer your time where needed and encourage others to do the same.

Florida Fish and Wildlife

FWC’s mission – “managing fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people.” Florida residents, “we cannot accomplish our mission without your volunteer assistance.”

Audubon of Florida

Audubon Florida’s work relies on the support of people like you who believe that conservation and establishing an environmental ethic in our communities is paramount.

Sea Turtle preservation society

A local grass roots group, STPS works tirelessly to educate the public about how to protect the sea turtle population and help sick and injured sea turtles.

Mote Marine Coral Restoration

Since 2008, Mote scientists have planted more than 100,000 corals to restore depleted reefs. In 2020, they documented that their restored corals had spawned, to produce new generations of corals on Florida reefs.
